Kent Orienteering League 2022/2023
The final KOL of the season took place on Saturday 27th May at Betteshanger Country Park. There was still a lot to play for in the league and this was the last chance to improve your standing. The park sits on the site of a former colliery spoil heap but has been converted to a large outdoor space with many paths and rough open areas. It was going to be fast and furious for the final event!

Shoreham Training Day
Following its postponement back in April, the training day was rescheduled for May with fifteen members now able to attend, including our youngest member, Isla. It took place in Shoreham Woods which were looking beautiful with all the bluebells out in bloom, see photos. This training day was not going to be for the faint-hearted, with a 20-25 minute steep walk in from the village followed by lots of running or walking through rough terrain.

April Activity Evening
Nine DFOK members turned up to this month’s activity evening at Shorne Woods Country Park. Following on from March’s online activity evening on contours, Shorne was chosen as a good place to check out the features we had learnt about such as re-entrants and spurs.
SEIL Certificates
Congratulations to the following DFOK members who achieved a top 3 place in their age class in the South East Individual Championships for 2022.
