Club Championships 2022
28 members of Dartford Orienteers took part in the Club Championships on Sunday 2 October at Shorne Country Park.
The weather was forecast to be rainy all day, but Andrew Evans, the planner and organiser of the Regional event, managed to get a clear sky instead.
The winners are:
Luke Bennett is the DFOK Junior Male Champion. Luke is M14 and still competed in the Blue course. Luke achieved a fantastic second place in 61'10'' among 16 participants!
Madeleine Pitcher is the DFOK Junior Female Champion. Madeleine is W16 and arrived first in 40'38'' in the Light Green course, out of 8 participants
Solomon Underwood Malone (M14) is the DFOK Champion of the Orange course in 45'13''
Ruby Gisby (W10) is the DFOK Champion of the Yellow course in 28'09''
David Dawson (M60) is the DFOK Veteran Male Champion. David ran the Green course in 57'50'' and achieved the first place among 30 participants, of which 12 were DFOK runners! Geoff Goodwin achieved a very honourable second place in 60'00''.
Allison Page (W50) is the DFOK Veteran Female Champion. Allison ran the Green course in 68'24''
Andrew Pitcher (M50) is the DFOK Champion of the Brown course in 81'42''
David Lobley (M55) is the DFOK Champion of the Blue course in 61'28''
Keith Parkes (M70) is the DFOK Champion of the Short Green course in 73'24''
