Where: New Ash Green. Start and Finish is near the junction of Ash Road and Church Road.
Parking: "Minnis" car park is 100m from the start/finish and is free. Nearest post code DA3 8QT, NGR: TQ605655

Score event in New Ash Green streets
A 60 minute score event.
Print the map of the course. This is an Open Orienteering Street O map.
Download the App MapRunF to your mobile phone then within the App, go to UK, then Kent and Gravesend and the event called New Ash Gn. Once done, press Go to Start and the map should appear. Click here for Guidance on how to use the App.
There are 20 controls of 20 points each - Control Descriptions here. There is a penalty of 10 points for each minute or part of a minute late back.
Contours on the map are at 10m intervals.

In line with current Government guidance, members are to complete these courses alone, within a household group, or with one person from outside their household and ensure social distancing is maintained at all times.

The Score event crosses roads hence must not be attempted by anyone under the age of 16, even if they would be accompanied by an adult.

As with all street orienteering events please take care crossing roads. There are many suitable crossing points on all the major roads in the area.

Be respectful of others as the map includes a pedestrianised shopping area. This Challenge is not an organised event or activity, so it is not registered with British Orienteering and you are not covered by British Orienteering's insurance. You do the Challenge as an individual for personal training and you are responsible for both your own safety and the safety of others around you.

Weekly Challenge 9 Bromley North

We are heading to Bromley next, thanks to a course set by David Dawson using Open Orienteering Map and the MapRun App. Everyone is welcome to have a go, DFOK members and others.

Bromley

Where: Bromley North & Central Streets. Start and Finish is at cross-roads of Glebe Road and Aldermary Road (NW corner at the small post-box) BR1 3NT.

Parking: Station Road car park is 100m from the start/finish and is £1.30 per hour.  Just north of this is permit holders only from 12:00 to 14:00 but not many spaces.

When: At any time you choose.

Score event in Bromley streets

A 60 minute score event.
Print the map of the course. This is an Open Orienteering Street O map.
Download the App MapRunF to your mobile phone then within the App, go to UK, then London South East and select Bromley and the event called Bromley North. Once done, press Go to Start and the map should appear. Click here for Guidance on how to use the App.
All controls are post boxes except 14 which is a bench outside the old post-office. There are 30 controls of 20 points each. There is a penalty of 10 points for each minute or part of a minute late back.
Contours on the map are at 10m intervals and range from +40m to +80m.
