Another successful event and a great start/finish location – with great views, plenty of seats and many different routes from the start. Well done to all the winners on the day and the overall league winners. Geoff put more controls in the more scenic western part and less controls in the notoriously tricky path maze of the eastern section. A good strategy for an event primarily aimed at new/intermediate standard orienteers, and also good use of the area for the experienced as the eastern bits have been used for a couple of summer informal events.

Next year we’re planning 7 North West Kent league events, on the first Saturday of the month from March to October. However DFOK are putting on 4 Kent Orienteering League events before March, including one at nearby Greenwich Park. And see the SEOA website for details of neighbouring clubs events. I think there is more Orienteering accessible from this corner of London than ever.
