Thanks for coming to this hastily arranged event and we hope that you enjoyed Shorne on such a nice day.

It was encouraging to see some new faces at the event and the idea of offering some help and assistance (some call it training!) to those who wanted it seemed to work well. DFOK will pursue this at events in the future.

It is nice to get out orienteering again after our enforced layoff.

I always enjoy planning on our small old quarry areas as there are a wealth of features to use in a small area. It was hard to strike a balance between the difficulty of the courses when we were effectively only producing three courses. Given the extensive path structure I elected to only provide easy and difficult technical courses. I am aware that a few people of intermediate standard had difficulty with the technicality of the B course and I will use this as a lesson for the future.

Our only difficulty was the usual disappearing punches that occurred late in the event.

I would like to thank Kevin and the other DFOK members for their help with the event. Thank you all for coming and I hope you enjoyed your runs.
