ORGANISERS COMMENT'S

Not many comments but lots of thanks! Thanks to everyone who came along to run, hopefully most people ran in the dry before the rain that was promised came down.  Thanks to Kevin, who as usual did a superb job of planning and thanks to Joe for agreeing to control at quite short notice.  And although you do need fewer people to help when you have the SI equipment you still need the people as well, so many thanks to Chris, Adrian, Don, Danny, Andy, Cerys, John and especially Mike, who must have felt like he lived at Lesnes last weekend.

I have a bag of ULOC clothes including which was left in the SI Computer Area Tent.  Please call me to arrange for collection - 01689 829472.

CONTROLLERS COMMENT'S

I had not been to Lesnes Abbey before and was surprised to find such a technical area in the heart of SE London. Although there is a network of paths they were not all obvious, and the legs Kevin planned across the open heath areas tested your navigation and re-location skills!

It was a pleasure to work with Kevin and the DFOK team who put on an excellent event. It is a shame there weren't more people to enjoy it.

PLANNERS COMMENT'S

The intention for this event was to plan courses to keep runners out of the brambles (unless you took a bad route choice of course!) whilst still creating a challenge with appropriate technical difficulty. A difficult task, in an area with so many paths but hopefully I succeeded you all enjoyed your runs and didn't come back to scrapped and scratched.

Unfortunately during the event control 430 on the Brown, Blue, Green was vandalised. It was replaced, but not before a lot of runners had passed through the site. The flag and stake were left but the SI unit was smashed to pieces.

All runners effected have been reinstated in the results but there will consequently be some unusual split times for the legs to and from 430.
I'd like to thank the DFOK volunteers who helped put out controls early Sunday and also collected them in the rain after the event, in particular Mike Grant who was also helping put the SI stakes out on Saturday afternoon. Thanks all!
