Thank you for coming to Franks Park. The weather was kind, but judging from the incomplete cards on the "A" course, I wasn't when it came to planning. Funny though, only 2 on the "B" and no-one on the"C" courses failed to complete. Was this a case of the faster people going too fast on an unusual scale of 5000 and/or not quite managing to cope with the difference of an event run in Norwegian style? Whatever, I hope all enjoyed the day. It also enabled DFOK to use maps of a small area. We suffered the loss of one punch and cane, which was rather better than I had expected. Fear of vandalism caused me to tuck controls away somewhat more than usual, and perhaps that contributed to somewhat slower times. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by the missing punch and my fear of vandals. Many thanks to DFOK members who turned out to help.
