MembershipHow to join
Dartford Orienteers is affiliated to British Orienteering and to the South East Orienteering Association (SEOA). When joining DFOK you will also become a member of British Orienteering and SEOA.
Membership of Dartford Orienteers gives you access to club coaching by qualified coaches and training events, plus discounted entry to club events. If you do not have your own dibber then dibber hire is free for DFOK members at DFOK events. You will be able to join the club Facebook and WhatsApp groups which are restricted to members only and provide early news and information about events.
Through membership of British Orienteering, you will get discounted entry to most orienteering events in the UK. You will be eligible to compete in the British Championships and the annual JK Festival of British Orienteering – and the opportunity to qualify to represent your country at orienteering! You will also get access to the National Rankings Scheme, the Navigational Challenge and Racing Challenge incentive schemes.
Through membership of British Orienteering you get a range of discounts with national companies, including a number of outdoor clothing and sports shoe companies. The savings available could easily recoup the cost of your membership. See what discounts are currently available.
Membership Fees
2024 fees for membership of Dartford Orienteers with British Orienteering are:
Seniors £20.00
Juniors £5.00
Young adults (age 21-25) £12.00
Family £44.00
A family consists of up to 2 seniors and any number of juniors living at the same address.
Membership is annual and lasts from 1 January to 31 December.
Reduced membership fees will be available in 2024 if you join later in the year in 2 tiers (after May 1st and after September 1st).
