What does this mean?

Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun6 App.

Course Information

Courses :

Suitable for all abilities. Mass start 19.30hrs. 60 minute score event. Twenty controls in total made up of two sets of ten controls (80s and 90s), no changeover control. Visit as many controls in the set of ten in any order, before switching to the second set. Each control is worth 10 point. Two bonus dumbbells worth 10 bonus points each. Course closes 20.30hrs. A penalty of 10 points will be deducted for each minute or part minute you are late back.

Equipment: SPORTIDENT timing will be used. Controls will be SIAC enabled (contactless) but not the finish which will be punched. Standard non-SIAC dibbers can be used as normal punching. If you don’t have a dibber, they are available to hire when you register in advance (see above). SI dibbers can be hired for £1. SIAC (contactless) dibbers can be hired for £2.50. Lost hired dibbers will be charged at a cost of £30 for SI and £60 for SIAC.

Pre-entry only (no entry at the event) online through www.racesignup.co.uk . Entries close at 16:00hrs on day of event.

Fees :
BOF Seniors £5, Non-BOF Senior £6 and Juniors £3. SI dibber hire £1. SIAC dibber hire £2.50.

Registration and Start times

Starts :

19.30hrs. There will be a 10 minute taped walk to the start, we will be leaving the pub car park promptly at 19:20.

Finish :

Punching finish. The finish is located next to the start, so please follow the same taped route back to the car park.

Facilities

Results will be available at the après-O on the night (see below) and on the DFOK website within a few days.

Après-O :

Darnley Arms, The Street, Cobham, DA12 3BZ - food to be pre-ordered at registration at the organiser's car. Toilets are located in the pub, please no muddy shoes or metal spikes.
