Jeskyns is a new 370-acre (150-hectare) Community Woodland and Greenspace. It has been created by the Forestry Commission with funding provided by the Department of Communities and Local Government for public enjoyment.
Open between the hours of 8am and 7pm, depending upon the available daylight hours. A few statistics in its development might interest you!

150,000 trees and shrubs planted
2054 traditional orchard trees planted
6.8km (4 miles) of all accessible paths laid
13 local schools and 14 uniformed children’s groups have been involved in the project
5556m2 of new ponds created
765 people planted a tree (or ten!) not including contractors
145 tonnes of rubbish removed. (0ver 700 tyres, 3 cars and many washing machines!)

And DFOK played a part by producing an orienteering map and permanent orienteering course.
