GLOSS Series 2019

This enjoyable series of events takes place with one event each weekend in a 5 week period. The GLOSS course is of Light Green standard and there is usually an extension for those wanting a longer run. It is also a team event with the best six scores from club members at each event contributing to our score. A handicapping system is used so anyone having a good run will score good points for the club. Click here for the 2019 handicapping details. There is also a Yellow standard course for newcomers and developing orienteers. The series flyer is here.

The events are:

Sunday 23 June Gunpowder Park Chingford
Sunday 30 June Barnes Common
Saturday 6 July Highfield Park St Albans
Sunday 14 July Belhus Woods Upminster
Sunday 21 July Nonsuch Park Cheam

World Orienteering Week

The 15 to 21 May 2019 was World Orienteering Week this year. DFOK contributed five separate events to the week and these attracted 1095 competitors, with almost a 1000 being young people. This was almost ten percent of the national participation value. Well done to all those that organised an event.
