Weekly Challenge 2

Where: Welling. Start and Finish is at the junction of Rokesby Close and the A207 Bellegrove Road. The exact place is the corner at the junction which is on the north side of Bellegrove Road and the east side of Rokesby Close. This is roughly 50m East of the We Anchor In Hope pub and 400m East of Woodlands Farm.

Parking: Rokesby Close itself is quite narrow so it is better to park on Bellegrove Road.

When: Any time from Thursday 4 June to Monday 8 June inclusive. Start at any time you choose.

Options available

Only one option this week, a 60 minute score event.
All controls are fire hydrants, electricity substations or post boxes. The points value of each is given here. There is a penalty of 10 points for each minute or part of a minute late back.

You can download and print a copy of the map here.

There are some general MapRunF Guidance Notes here.

Ensure social distancing is maintained at all times. In line with current Government guidance, members are to complete these courses alone, within a household group, or with one person from outside their household from whom they must stay two metres apart at all times.
This event crosses busy roads hence must not be attempted by anyone under the age of 16, even if they would be accompanied by an adult.
As with all street orienteering events please take care crossing roads. There are many suitable crossing points on all the major roads in the area. Take particular care at the traffic lights in Welling town centre where traffic can emerge from unexpected directions at quite high speed.

Results: these will be available next Wednesday.
