World Orienteering Week
The 15 to 21 May 2019 was World Orienteering Week this year. DFOK contributed five separate events to the week and these attracted 1095 competitors, with almost a 1000 being young people. This was almost ten percent of the national participation value. Well done to all those that organised an event.

Marlborough House School Orienteering
On 16 May 2019 DFOK assisted Marlborough House School, Hawkhurst, with running an orienteering activity day. Over the day near 300 children from Nursery to Year 8 participated in a variety of orienteering activities. The results from the day are available on the school website in the parental portal section.

SE Relays
Congratulations to the DFOK Junior team (Nikita, Vadim and Maddy) which came 1st in the junior course at the South-East Relays on Sunday 12 May. Overall DFOK had six teams entered with a number of other notable performances; On the handicap competition the DFOK Mens Team (6th overall) were beaten by the DFOK Mens 2 Team (4th overall) thanks in particular to Maxime beating his dad (Antoine) by almost ten minutes. Also well done to Marie for completing the Orange course at only her fifth orienteering event in a commendable time of 32 minutes.

London Marathon 2019
