DFOK arranges occasional
Trail O courses for the  disabled at its events.

Trail O is usually held at Beacon Wood, Shorne Country Park and Danson Park.

Trail O is suitable for a variety of disabilities including those who are wheelchair users.

What  is Trail O?

Trail Orienteering is a navigational sport (for the disabled and able bodied) and competitors locate specific control sites in numerical order with the aid of a detailed map which has the course already marked on it.  As the name implies you stay on paths, or occasionally, with closely mown grass for example, take a more direct  route between control sites.

There will be a decision making point, indicated by a coded stake, and it is there that you will record your choice of the markers in the terrain that you feel represent the centre of the control circle on the map.

If you send in your completed map to DFOK, then you will be issued with a certificate of achievement.
